Material Donations

The library accepts donations of used books and periodicals.  The staff checks the books and if they can be used in the library they will be catalogued and become a part of the permanent collections.  Books that are duplicates, in bad condition or those that are not needed in the local collection are saved for the annual books sale which is traditionally held the Friday and Saturday before Mother’s day in May.  Periodicals are sold to the public on a display table at the front of the library.  All donations are welcome and proceeds from their sale is used to purchase more library books. library06-t.jpg (15329 bytes) library10-t.jpg (14983 bytes)

Patrons peruse a selection of donated periodicals.

Memorials and Gifts

The library accepts monetary gifts for memorials or honorariums starting at $5.00.  The library will send a card to the family of the individual being memorialized or honored and will use the gift toward the purchase of a book.
