Laughlin Health Information Library: Located within Laughlin Memorial Hospital next to the Women's Center, the library is a free health information resource for the entire community. The library, categorized by subject, contains up-to-date medical, health, wellness, nutrition, pregnancy, parenting, and personal and spiritual growth materials for both men and women. Books and videos may be checked out of the library. Reference materials and magazines may be used in the library but are not available for check out. Open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. For additional information call (423) 787-5123. Today, we are applying those same skills to cyberspace so that you and your child can take best advantage of the vast resources the Internet offers. Librarian's Index to the Internet: The Librarians' Index to the Internet is a searchable, annotated subject directory of more than 7,900 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians for their usefulness to users of public libraries. It's meant to be used by both librarians and non-librarians as a reliable and efficient guide to described and evaluated Internet resources. |
