Get a Library card

All Greene County residents or property owners are eligible to receive a free library card.

We now offer new patrons the ability to apply for a library card online that will allow you to access the Library’s digital resources, including ebooks and audio books (accessible online through TN Reads and on mobile devices through Overdrive or the Libby app). If you already have a card and want to check out what's available online, check out the information on accessing the digital library resources on our FAQ page.

Alternatively (or if you received a card digitally and you’re now ready to check physical items out), you can bring a picture ID and an additional proof of address to the library to get a physical card. Let the staff know if you’re applying for a new card or if you already have a digital card, and they’ll happily help you get started using the library’s services. New patrons may check out three items on the day the card is issued and on subsequent visits are granted full library privileges (Learn more about our circulation rules and policies here).

There is a $3 fee to replace lost cards.

To request a card online, simply complete the following form in full and click submit. Within 24 hours you will receive an email with your library card number, which is used to access digital resources.
