Greene County Writer's society

The Greene County Writer's Society meets once a month at the Greeneville/Greene County Public Library. UPDATE: We are shifting from the first Tuesday of each month to the fourth Thursday, so the next meeting will be on March 28th @ 4:30pm!

The Writer's Society is a group for writers of all experience levels that celebrates creativity, collaboration and growth. We discuss various topics, do some exercises and games, and share our writing journeys- the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens.

And we're open to suggestion: If you have something you'd like to see at future meetings (or you just want to get on the e-mail reminder list) fill out the form at the bottom of this page to let us know!

We also have handouts! These are the handouts from our previous months along with their topics.

This month's handouts include the rules for renga (a japanese poetry game/form) and some guidelines for giving and receiving feedback.
October Handouts are all about daily writing practices.
In November, we talked exercises for character design and development.
Our meeting in December was about research and outlining, and our handout was about the snowflake method.
Check out our growing collection of outside links to other resources for authors. if you know of a resource that we should link to, please let us know!

Thanks for being a part of the Greene County Writer's Society. If you'd like to read and receive feedback on something you've written, please submit the form below, and at the next meeting bring a work (or excerpt) of no more than 2000 words.

What kind of feedback are you looking for?
